Spring fun

The last few days have been warmer! YEA!! It has also been a wonderful opportunity to get some good photos of the kids. Yesterday (Saturday) was the warmest day we've had this Spring and we took the opportunity to do some yard work. Mowing, sweeping the yard, laying down grass seed, weeding & fertilizing the garden, & Spring clean out of the fish pond. The kids enjoyed a fun-filled day of being outside.

Will took his first ride in the bike stroller and loved it. I thought for sure he'd fall asleep (that was my hope)... I was wrong! He just sat there trying to figure out everything on the inside of the stroller and watching the world as he rode by. He did nap when we got back. Shea rode her bike beside me. It was a lot of fun!

This week Shea's glasses came in. She wore them to school on Friday and said she did wear them when it was coloring time. I've been asking her the past few days if I could take a photo for my blog. She did not like the idea. Last night, she said, "Mom, you can take a picture of me now." Sure thing!

This week we also went shopping for tiles to put on the island. We did find some and Shawn is out cutting them now. Pictures of that project soon. Anyway, we stopped to get a bite to eat and Will just isn't the easiest child to eat with, let alone at a restaurant. To entertain him we gave him a celery stick to chew on, he liked this!

While doing all the clean up on Saturday, we had Shea helping us clean out the fire pit. Her chore was to throw all the little sticks in there so we can get rid of them. We have to get this area cleaned up, her rabbit comes home soon!! The hutch is behind her to the left, but you can't see it.

This is our three fish that we have. Shawn cleaned out the fish pond. We came back from our bike ride to see him doing so. It's always the highlight of his Spring cleaning! We had five at the start of the project. When the pond was once again ready, we only had three. Something had happened to the others. We were all upset but are happy to have these three left. Shea has named them but I can't remember what they are. We may be going to Pet Smart and getting a few more.

The tree in our front yard is in full bloom and we are so happy. Last Spring we had a hard freeze come in and lots of things did not bloom, this tree was one of them. However, this year it's very pretty. Shea got too warm yesterday and went to set in the shade. Perfect photo opportunity.
