Easter 2009

Happy Easter 2009
The Easter Bunny hopped his way to us this year. The kids were very excited for Easter to come. Shea requested that he bring money and stickers in the eggs. How could he not do as she asked?!
Saturday morning we headed to New Madison for a couple of days of celebrating. We first went to Shawn's parents. Shea was excited because the Vet was coming out to do shots on the horses. She was more than willing to help hold their leads. That is until she became and ice cube and went inside. She lasted a long time out in the wind. Will and I didn't last as long! She had inside activities to do- dye eggs & make a cake! I headed to my Grandma's Pat's to help do a little Spring cleaning at her house. There is some remodeling that is going on and we needed to clean a few things. Today, she is getting new carpet. This was also going to be the first Holiday that we all gathered to celebrate since Grandpa's passing in January. It was very hard for all of us, but, together we got through it. Saturday night my Mom did not feel up to cooking, she had worked all day! We went to a local place to eat, called Firpo's. It was good.
Easter Sunday found the kids waking up extra early. He had arrived and filled the kids' baskets and hid them. Shea and Will went on the hunt to find it... Will had his big sister help him this year. There are no pictures of this. We were almost to New Madison and I remembered...the camera was still sitting at home!! GOOD GRIEF! After church services we first went to Shawn's parents for lunch & an egg hunt. Shea did a superb job of hunting down all the items. She again helped out her little brother! Then it was time to go to my parents for another egg hunt! I used my Mom's camera...

Shea hunting for eggs.

The kids had a great Easter! They were very tired by the time we headed home. Poor Chief barley had any room on the way home...The Easter Bunny had been too good to us! Today we are just hanging out at home. A relaxing Monday. Well...each child had melt downs by 9 am. Naps are in order this afternoon!
We hope that you had a wonderful Easter and that this Spring is a fantastic one for you!
