Last week was Spring Break for Shea. What a great time, it was also our birthday week!! Unfortunately, Shawn had to travel most of the week but we made the best of it. We started on Sunday evening going over to our friends, the Finke's, to watch March Madness, color eggs, play and have dinner. The girls had so much fun! Elizabeth and I did also. Shea and Olivia had went to pre-school together last year and now with each others school schedules differing, they don't get to see each other as often. When they do, it's a blast! Here are the girls coloring eggs, color was everywhere! Will kept throwing the eggs so he was out of there.

We had a nice evening and it was fun to be out for a while, especially since Shawn had left. Keeping the kids busy is a good way to make the time go faster. Of course, I have to introduce you to the newest member of the Finke family. Her name is Ruby and she is a black lab. ADORABLE. She and Will had a great time playing together.

The next day of Spring Break the weather was still chilly so we headed for COSI in Columbus. Great place and Parents Magazine has named it the number one science center in the US. I had not been there since it moved to it's new location downtown. Off we went and so did a ton of other people. The general admission line was 1 1/2 hours long. There is no way Will is going to cooperate through this! BOGO free coupon or not we opted for the new member line, only ten minutes long. As long as we go back twice in the next twelve months we will have more than paid for the price of the membership. Heck, we'll be back it is a cool place!! There is even an entire half floor devoted to Will's age group. Lots of neat exhibits. I forgot my camera on this day. Which in hindsight was fine. I was too busy chasing Will around to take pictures!!!

Our birthday's were upon us. Mine was first! The day started off great. My Mom came and brought me a new tradition as she says. Pioneer Woman (PW's) cinnamon rolls. Oh my, they are to die for just as PW proclaims. I received lots of phone calls, emails and Facebook messages from friends near and far. Nicci even offered to make me dinner since Shawn was gone. I'm so lucky!! I told her not to fear, I was going out to eat dinner with family and friends. We met at... Shea got to pick AGAIN this year... Red Lobster. She loves that place. The kids, Mom, and I met up with Nan, Red, their friend, Wade, Danielle and her NEW boyfriend!!! This was going to be my first meeting. His name is Paul and he is really nice. Shhh.. hate to say it too loud, we want him to come back.

The next day was Shea's birthday!! In the morning we took her shopping. Shawn and I got her exactly what she wanted, a new build-a-bear. Which of course met that prior to this we had to get rid of existing stuffed animals. She was in agreement. Ok, off we go! She picked out a rabbit and it is cute. We also got Will his first one, a camouflage bear. Then Mom took her to a few of her favorite stores for summer clothes. Lunch at Chick-fil-A and then back home to play. We did everything that she wanted to do that day. It was a nice day outside. Nan gave them bubble fans, they had fun playing with them. For dinner she asked me to make her spaghetti... Of course!
Shea and the bubbles.

Our 6 year old!! Hard to believe.

It was a great week capped off with Easter weekend. I'll download those pics soon. Now it's back to our normal grind. Shea and I were both back at school yesterday. Today, yard pick up and mowing. BUT... I am still celebrating my birthday! Tonight I am going to Bucca Di Peppo with girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. I can't wait!!!
