Saturday was going to be such a nice day we decided we'd like to take a day and do something fun with the kids. We let Shea pick between the Columbus Zoo or COSI. She said Zoo and we were glad! It was especially exciting for us that Shawn was able to take an entire day and spend with us. Look out Zoo, here we come! After stopping to do a return at Home Depot, detour to Sam's Club because the truck battery died and a new one was needed. Off to the Zoo we went. First thing, the kids always want to go to the barn. I have to say, those goats are cute!
We found out that the new exhibit, The Polar Frontier, will open early May. We are SO excited and can not wait!! We explored the Zoo and Will was really into it this year. He didn't fall asleep as he would last year. Oh no, we had to see every animal. If he didn't know what sound it made, he just growled at it!
I love you...
Feeding the Lorikeets.
I have no idea what got into the Kangaroo's!!
Will cracking us both up...
After this we ran a couple of more returns around town and Will finally took a nap!! Then we were meeting the Kuck Family and Sheri at Genji for dinner. I know, YUM! We had a great time!! Noah took so much abuse, poor kid, he loved it. Will did not like the fire, sorry Grandpa Chas! Jenny would not let me get my camera out at dinner and take pictures. This is because Sheri and I received the same present from her for our birthday's. Sheri was receiving hers after dinner. We headed to Jen and Barry's and this is what we received.
They are called Happy Snapz and they go over our camera straps, no more saying hello I carry a Nikon. We love them. Of course Shawn wonders how he'll look at a car show with an orange feminane looking strap around his neck. Oh, Jen and I can't wait to see it!!! Sherri and Jen also make each other deserts for their birthday's. We also got a bite. I was so glad. I had seen Jen making Sherri's and I LOVE peanut butter pie. FAVORITE! Here it is...
It was as yummy as it looks! Thanks for sharing it girls.
It was a fun weekend and the kids and I can not wait for Shawn to get back home. We'll be glad when this round of traveling is done!
