Parties One, Two & Three

The end of March is approaching and quickly! That means Shea and I's birthday's are upon us. For me that means party planning. I enjoy making sure the kids get decent birthday parties. This year we had to add in an extra one!

Let's start with party number one. Last Thursday (March 25) was a big day. It was Music In Your School Day. Meaning Mrs. Demming invited family members to come and enjoy music class with our children and have lunch with them. The kids were very excited about it. Shea would go into her room, shut the door and practice. She would not tell me anything about it, she wanted it to be a surprise. When we arrived at school, we found out it was an interactive class. They had us parents up and dancing, skating and tapping blocks to the beat. Here are the kids singing and signing You Are My Sunshine for the record, this was my favorite!

After lunch this particular day was also "A"'s class last day of school before Spring Break. We had planned an Easter Party for the kids. They did a neat craft, made a bunny using a paper bag. I stuffed 120 plastic eggs and we hid them in the gym due to it raining outside. Each child was able to find five eggs. We also had two upcoming birthday's during their time off. Shea & Kylie. So myself and Monica went together and got the girls a cupcake cake for the class. It was pink but cute.

Party number two! We had our family over for lunch this past Saturday for lunch. I have to say it turned out yummy! Shea wanted a Barbie cake this year. We had a very nice ethnic Barbie!

We gathered, eat and opened presents. Shea had a good time. We did too. Shawn and I got to catch up with friends we hadn't seen...well... since Will's party! Here are the kids with Grandma Pat before the party got started!

One of the presents Shea received was the movie Where the Wild Things Are. I'm not sure who is more excited about watching it, her or Shawn! They both have the book memorized. Shea received lots of money. I asked her today what she was going to do with it all and she said she hadn't decided. She is more rich then her parents!

Party number Three. She took a few friends from school to Galaxy Game & Golf. I was surprised when she picked this place again but hey they do have fun there. We watched the kids playing the FunGym area, eat pizza and cup cakes, golf and play games. They all said they had fun. I was pooped by the time we left, big day!

For the record, I did not know Jen was making this lovely face when I took the picture. When I downloaded them all, I was cracking up. Thanks Jen!

Good group kids playing hard!

Rounds four and five of her birthday week are later this week. On Wednesday we are going out for my birthday. She told me that is the only party I get. Nice. She gets five! On her actual birthday we are doing Build A Bear and she asked Grandma Godsey to take her shopping. How can we decline?!
I can't believe our baby girl is going to be six. It just DOES NOT seem possible. It seems like she just came home from the hospital. Learned to walk, talk, ride a bike... Time goes to fast. Shea, you truly are the sunshine of our lives. What a great girl you are!!! We love you, dearly!
