Uncle Justin entered his El Camino in the Young Guns as this was the last year he was eligible to enter ( for ages 16-25). He labored for his love for many, many, many years. It is looking good...
While Shawn is still laboring on our Chevelle, he walks away every year with many ideas. I'd just like to have it done but you know how we wives can get. I trip over engines, transmissions, parts all the time in that garage. We just need to free up more of his time to get her done!
As you may know, we've referred to Will as "little man" since he was born. While walking in the pouring rain Friday, we came across this license plate and could not help but stop for a photo.
Ah... Some relief from the rain.
All good kids must take a nap at some point. I guess he finally got tired of looking at the cars and just gave up. Good for him!
Saturday brought much nicer weather and hotter than predicted. Shea has been bugging Shawn to ride the sky lift for at least two years at this event. I told him he had to do it, I was not going up in the air. Yes, Shea called me a chicken but I don't care. I want two feet planted on the ground!!
Shawn was even able to teach Will how to look at a car and see if it is worth buying. This just cracked me up!!!!
Here is a very interesting labor of love. Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you. That is a picnic table on wheels, complete with a steering wheel, cooler and stereo. We think he needs to add a grill and then it's the perfect tail-gating apparatus. I can just see it now. Wait, back to reality it's hot, humid and JULY!
The kids and I stayed home today, we were all so tired. I said we need to get out in the garden, it has gone nuts in the last couple of days. I need to get you a picture of it. My squash plants are just huge, lettuce is coming along, tomatoes too. Green beans are starting to appear! The cucumbers have taken over their area finally. So... Here is what I labored for this morning. I can't wait to eat them.
Oh, did I mention that during these very busy last few days, Shawn bought a "new" car! The Saturn had to be replaced. He's been looking for a while and came across this the other night.
It's a 2001 Chrysler 300M. It is a nice car, needs lots of TLC! Not to mention a new transmission. Yet another thing for Shawn to labor under, over and on! It's all cars (and a few veggies) around here this weekend!
